King William County Public Schools has been awarded grant funding through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021 and the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Fund. The purpose of the grant funding is to help school divisions safely reopen and maintain the healthy operation of schools, and to mitigate the negative impacts of COVID-19 on the nation’s students by addressing students’ academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs.

King William County Public Schools has been awarded $1,780,619.31. We are actively seeking public comment on the draft proposal for the use of these funds. The proposal can be found here and the link to provide comments can be found hereWhen making suggestions, keep in mind that the funds need to be used to maintain school safety and mitigate students' social, emotional, and mental health needs that have occurred as a result of the pandemic. We greatly appreciate your input as we work to address the needs of our students. Public comments will be accepted through August 30, 2021.
